Absolutely stunning view from this lake side cabin situated smack dab in the middle of snowmachining paradise! What an incredible location. Three hours south of Fairbanks, 75 minute south of Delta Junction or three and a half hours north of Valdez, however you get there you will be happy you did. Summit Lake is close to Fielding and Paxson Lakes, all havens for camping, fishing, hunting and recreating. Summit Lake, with its proximity to the Alaska Range and just west of the Gakona Glacier, is locally recognized as one of the best places in Alaska for snowmaching. Imagine spending a day riding the mountain sleds to have a warm and dry home to come to! This really is a home more than a cabin. A solar array, battery bank and generator keep the power going here and with a well and septic system and a pellet stove (with a Toyo in the basement) it has all the amenities of 4 season living. The foundation is poured concrete and owner reports 10 inch think walls. The main home has a huge kitchen, generous living room and a bedroom with a full bathroom. The sunroom off of the kitchen is unbelievable! Step out onto the deck to grill and step back in the sunroom to enjoy all of the amazing views of the lake without the mosquitos. The property is over an acre and also boasts a full sized garage with an overhead door on each side, perfect for pulling truck and trailer through. There is even a guest cabin! Recently the access was upgraded with a new driveway just off of the Richardson Highway, a fresh aluminum gate and plenty of parking. Truly a slice of heaven!
